Christian Ministries in Africa:

CMIA is headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, with the U.S. office in Redmond, Washington, is a Bible believing, non-denominational, independent mission that is reaching out with the love of Christ to the people of East Africa. For twenty-two years CMIA, under the direction of the Hatley Family, has been faithful with little and God has given them much. Their family is large and growing: three birth children (a Kenyan daughter-in-law and new son-in-law) and three adopted Kenyan children make up their immediate family...but, in reality, over 150 children look to them as "mum and dad". Faithfully committed in their relationship with God, the Hatley's seek His guidance and trust in His provision daily. Faith is not a word, but a lifestyle at CMIA , thanks to this devoted couple and their tireless efforts for the Kingdom!

Grace Community Church has been partnering with CMIA since 2005. Additionally, several within the church have committed to sponsoring children of CMIA on a monthly basis. All will tell you that it is a very rewarding relationship. Over the last few years, there have been several church members that have visited CMIA ministries in Kenya  as ambassidors  to share our love for them and deliver personal letters and care packages for each child.

Nathan and Mary Saxe (Church Planting in Guadix, Spain)

Grace Community church has recently partnered with missionaries Nathan and Mary Saxe to plant a new church in Spain.  Nathan and Mary were married in 1993 and have a mutual love for missions.  They immediately joined a missions training program at their church that equipped them for service.  This led to a six month internship in Spain and France where they were involved in church planting.

In 1998 they returned to Spain and spent two years involved in evangelism, church planting, and working with an existing church.

Since returning to the states Nathan and Mary have been involved in their local church with the children's ministry and the Hispanic outreach.  Their heart for missions continues and they are following the call God has put in their hearts to return to Spain.  They will be involved in planting a new church in the spiritually dry city of Guadix, Spain.

Prisoners for Christ

Grace Community Church has partnered with Prisoners for Christ since the church began.  Each Christmas, church members participate in the Angel Tree program, purchasing gifts for children of inmates.  Since 2005, monthly financial support has been provided to Prisoners for Christ as well.  The missions team is working to provide more opportunities for church members to become involved with Prisoners for Christ.  This includes grading prisoner bible class tests and participating in inmate outreaches and church services.

Prisoners for Christ Outreach Ministries (PFC) is a nondenominational Christian prison ministry based in Woodinville, WA., near Seattle.

Prisoners for Christ Outreach Ministries is dedicated to taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the jails, prisons, and juvenile centers in the Northwest. We accomplish this task through worship services, Bible studies, special concerts & performances, and one-to-one visitations.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey every thing I have commanded you." -- Jesus Christ -- Matthew 28:19-20

We are dedicated to sharing personally the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the jails, prisons, and juvenile centers of the Northwest. We are now expanding throughout the United States with our popular Bible study correspondence course. We are also expanding internationally with offices in Nairobi, Kenya and Penza, Russia.

PFC is currently staffed by over 1100 volunteers coming from 125 different local churches. Last year 34,720 inmates (men, women, and youth) attended our programs in 40 different institutions in the State of Washington. The exciting thing was that 5,040 people made first time commitments to our Lord Jesus Christ last year. Praise the Lord! On the average, PFC volunteers conduct 101 services monthly (almost four per day).

Visit the Prisoners for Christ website at [ www.pfcom.org ] for much more information about this tremendous domestic and international ministry.
